cornucopia

I created this picture in memory of a Donald Duck comic. There was a story about a cornucopia. The quality of a cornucopia is that it fills with what the owner desires. In the comic Dagobert Duck has of course wished many gold talers to fill his money storage even more. For me, the cornucopia represents the realization of my wishes and ideas. Without ideas, it can rarely succeed. The cornucopia gives me these ideas.

change

The image change came about at the same time as the actions against climate change. It is a digital colleague from old works, here gravure printing and photomontage. It shows the change in the Ruhr area, my old homeland. From a very dirty industrial landscape to a liveable region where nature is becoming more and more important. Even if the change is far from complete, it is getting better.

Kölsch

The picture belongs to the series Carolin. My time in the Rhineland was also associated with a good beer. There was often Kölsch and, since I lived in Bonn, even then new and fresh; Bönnsch, in the stylish Colani glass. The idea for the picture came to me when watching TV. A Cologne girl gave her comedy program to the best. It was divinely amusing and snappy. Just thumbs up.

Röggelchen

The picture is also part of the series Carolin. Anyone who has ever been to Cologne probably did not miss the Röggelchen, at least if you look into a typical menu. Classically occupied with Mett, whether there is an alternative vegan spread, unfortunately, I do not know. For vegetarians there is definitely a halven hahn. If you do not know what that is, drive to Cologne.

Prague

What does Prague have to do with a melon? London, yes, but Prague, nothing? This picture is from my series Fairytale. Any idea? No? A big man, then a little man. A strange vehicle that flies. Still not? You will got it.

Homeland

This picture was also taken after a television evening and is also part of the eponymous series. This time, a talk show was the occasion. It was about the topic of home. And food had quickly come into play as the most important reminder of home and home. To my home belongs the Currywurst, not as a Berliner, but as Ruhrpottler. The right frame then includes a Pils from Dortmund. Kölsch also fits.

Tour

It was summer and a sports event dominated the media; The Tour. Radprofis at the limit. Mountain scoring, sprint, endurance, sweat, exhaustion, but also stamina, fighting spirit and success. All that, day after day to the last destination. But there is also the Giro and what about Flanders?

Paris

From the series Places I present you Paris. A wonderful city that I was allowed to visit more often. For the first time in the 1970s, the sights were the focus. Now I visit Paris to live a long weekend in the metropolis. Eat, drink coffee and enjoy the atmosphere. Voilà, ce la vie.
